Now that the car made the 3 day transport to sunny California here is the result of a 10 year labour of love. I think you will agree that the results were worth the wait, the lines of the car are perfect, everything flows as it should.
-
Even from a rear angle everything looks like it was meant to be.
-
The shortened rear fenders, flush tail lights, hidden retractable licence plate, and the completely fabricated rear suspension are elevated for the crowds at the show to see.
-
The display also showed off the attention that was given to the front lines of the car and the front suspension fabrication was now on display for all to admire.
-
Don’t look for these wheels on any store shelves they are one of a kind. Each milled from a solid piece of billet aluminum with hidden wheels nuts and valve stems. How did they do that? Have a look at the previous build articles.
-
The motor detail matches that of the rest of the car. A creative blend of old and new, the motor look fits the theme. Who would guess that it is fuel injected, you have to get up really close to notice that.
-
The interior color goes well with the car, the leather is classy and the color not over the top. The only color other than silver being the leather, the subtle striping, and the carb body’s, everything blends well.
-
You can’t show up at a show like this with a roll of carpet and a few plants, a display has to suit the car. This display sets off the car, the carpet matches the car and the raised platform raises the car just enough to allow viewers to admire the craftsmanship, while being just large enough to keep those admiring fingerprints at bay.
-
Judging at car events is taken very seriously. These individuals find themselves crawling around all weekend, sometimes on carpet and sometimes not. Their weekend is long and tiring, remember these are volunteer positions.

Looks like it was worth it after all. The competition was tough, cars in attendance featured builds by some of the best in the game. Wayne obviously put together quite a respectable team of his own.

And we can’t say goodbye without a shot of the guy himself with his dream come true, and he is even smiling, who would have thought. Thanks Wayne for your contribution to this feature. Wayne made sure he took a lot of photos, even bought a digital camera along the way, no more sorting through photos in the shoe box. The judges build book displayed with the car was a great source of information. Thanks for visiting and see you again soon.
