Each stop on the world of wheels circuit brings in world class cars from around North America to compete for a chance to win the series championship in their class. My first experience with the ISCA was when I was 3 years old, my dad had his truck in the show and still proudly displays his trophies.
Definitely a show for the family, the World of Wheels brought in stars like Henry Winkler, Brenda Song, and Doc Hudson from the Pixar film Cars. By doing so introducing the world of special interest cars to our next generation of car enthusiasts.
From the usual product vendors seeking their fame and fortune and with the introduction to the Calgary show, Zingers, to the highly detailed far more expensive class competitors, the Calgary show once again provided lots of diversity for the family to take in.
PartPal will be doing features on a number of the competitors at this years show so keep checking back to view these cars up close and personal.

Last issue we introduced you to our new transmissions column and to what will become our first project, a Chevy Turbo 350 rebuild. To get the full story check out the March 8 2010 issue by changing the issue selector above.
As far as automatic transmissions go the Turbo 350 is certainly one of the easiest to complete on a work bench without any specialized tools. A warning however, there are a few components that require a hydraulic press to disassemble and inspect; we will be sure to point these out throughout the disassembly process.
The complete disassembly process is detailed in over 60 photos with descriptions and instructions to match. Follow the link to open up our gallery and enjoy! Over the next 2 issues we will continue with the rebuild as well as installing a Lokar automatic shifter kit to this transmission before it eventually makes it into a future project vehicle build.
